Bleh. If I had to choose one work to describe today, that is what it would be. Bleh all around. The weather, while warm, was gray and humid — on the verge of rain all day (it seems like we do have rain in the forecast coming up). I had a headache from the moment I woke up that I couldn’t shake; maybe this has something to do with my body going through withdrawal from all the foods that I used to eat/coffee I used to drink? That’s just a theory. I was in a fog at work today — I know I got work done, but I don’t know exactly what it was. Pure Barre was even a little “eh.” No one’s fault but my own.
I did everything I was supposed to do, cleanse wise. Weird coconut oil swishing, oil massage pre-shower, cleansing tea (side note – my new mug arrived, and I’m stoked), followed all the food rules. Today was the last day of the external oleation, and I have a whole new set of stuff to do in the AM. PARTY. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better – or at least, less foggy – day.
What I ate:
Breakfast: Same egg casserole as yesterday, but to ward off midmorning hanger at work, I added a green smoothie to the mix. Coconut milk (IT GOES IN EVERYTHING), frozen berries, 1/2 a small avocado that was in my fridge, and a few generous handuls of spinach. It was so good — not coffee good, but up there. And my plan worked! As I type this (9:48 AM), i’m almost uncomfortably full. Whoops.
Lunch: Exact same as yesterday — broccoli, chicken, carrot soup. For “dessert,” I had a small red apple and some almond butter. Yum.
Snack: Almond Thin crackers between getting home from PB and walking Taffy
Dinner: A bastardized Paleo Pad Thai, made with roasted portobello mushrooms instead of chicken. To be honest, I didn’t miss the chicken.
